The projects consists of a 4-tier precast parking structure and adjacent surface lot providing an approximate total of 950 parking stalls for a net increase of roughly 400 much-needed new spaces. The structure will come complete with MEP systems typical of a parking garage and includes snowmelt systems for parking decks exposed to weather and restroom facilities. Four core stair towers and three elevators will allow for efficient access in and out of the structure with inviting, heated sidewalks leading to Main Street shops and restaurants upon exiting.
Architectural finishes, resembling mining buildings, are designed to blend in with the town’s surrounding features and include wood siding, stone accents, and rustic metal panel. Sustainable features include 20 electric vehicle charging stations (with capacity for an additional 24), provisions for e-bikes, and a supplemental solar power system. The project will take 18-months to complete and is expected to be open for the 2021 ski season.
