Battery operated tools have been essential to productivity and safety in construction. Although they are designed to increase productivity on the job site, even cordless power tools can be dangerous if all safety precautions are not followed carefully. Lithium batteries are generally safe and unlikely to malfunction (i.e., fail), but only so long as there are no defects, and the batteries are not damaged. We have to ensure proper charging, storage, and use of our battery-operated tools. This not only helps us stay safe but helps maximize performance and runtime of our tools.
