1520 Market Street Renovation & Parking

About the Project

Hyder renovated the three-story historic Rocky Mountain Seed Co. building at 1520 Market in Downtown Denver, originally built in 1880, to accommodate multiple office tenants. The basement was converted into an underground parking garage. The building’s original wood and masonry structure were restored to its original condition. The crumbling interior center support wall was replaced with structural steel. Additional improvements included adding a new elevator and two stair cores through the existing wood floor joist structure, restructuring the roof to hold a new deck, and installing a new storefront to match the original appearance. The tenant improvements included refinished hardwood floors, polished concrete mezzanine, decorative lighting, security and access control, storage cabinets, kitchen work stations, breakout rooms, and lounge area.
