Construction is underway at Dobson Ice Arena in Vail 🏒🏔️

Hyder, in joint venture with McHugh Construction, is leading the $55 million renovation of this well-known mountain venue. The 18-month project will upgrade mechanical and electrical systems, expand seating and restrooms, improve ADA accessibility, and enhance event capabilities — all while preserving the arena’s iconic wooden roof.

This is Dobson’s first major renovation since it opened in the 1970s. We are proud to help modernize the facility while maintaining its unique character for the next generation of users.
