🚨 Summit Fire & EMS Station 10 Now Open! 🚨

On June 4, the Silverthorne community celebrated the grand opening of the new $9.5M Summit Fire & EMS Station 10!

This state-of-the-art facility, completed on time and on budget, is strategically located to improve emergency response times and was designed with firefighter health in mind. Key features include:

✔️ Ventilated gear rooms to reduce carcinogen exposure
✔️ Low-impact nighttime lighting to help with sleep-to-response transitions
✔️ A wildfire engine to respond more quickly to potential wildfires

Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, the ceremony featured a unique hose uncoupling, and Hyder and SEH, the project architect, were each honored with ceremonial axes in recognition of their contributions.
