Vail Streets Maintenance Building

About the Project

This project was the first portion of a multi-phased $100 million development for Vail’s public works facility. The Streets Building was a replacement of an archaic building that housed their fleet of streets maintenance equipment and vehicles. The new larger building is nestled between their admin building and existing greenhouse. It is designed to support a future parking structure and two levels of office space above it. To gain a bigger footprint for the building and allow for future buildout, we also completed a 1,000 foot-long concrete shoring wall bordering the north side of the site. The wall is over 25 feet high in areas and gives the town an extra acre of space to work with, a significant amount in a town where real estate is scarce.

“We couldn’t be happier in our selection of Hyder for the Streets Building. They were great communicators, always honest and to the point. Their entire team did a great job and overcame some very challenging obstacles. They were all very professional and represented Hyder very well.”
