2018

Matt Huelskamp elected President.


Four Seasons at Vail

2011

Hyder completes first $150 million project, Four Seasons Vail Hotel & Residences, a 500,000 square-foot luxury mountain resort in the Vail Village.


2006

First $100 million project, Vail’s Front Door, a 300,000 square foot development at the bottom of the Vail ski area.


2000

First $20 million project, DirecTV Broadcast Facility in Castle Rock. We have completed over 30 projects for this loyal customer.


1998

Tom McLagan elected President.


1990

Hyder completes first on-mountain restaurant, Two Elk Lodge in Vail, for Vail Resorts. We have built over 90 projects for this loyal customer.


1988

Hyder built our first project for Lockheed Martin in 1988. Since then, we have built over 75 projects for this loyal customer.


1987

In 1987, a trio that included (from left to right) Neil McLagan, his son Tom, and Ray Lobato purchased Hyder Construction. Neil became President.


1960

James’s son, Hugh Hyder, took over in 1960 and was president of Hyder for the next 27 years.
