🏔️ Hotel Alpenrock Wins Best Renovation Project
Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge was named Best Project in the Renovation/Restoration category by Engineering News-Record Mountain States as part of their 2025 Best Of awards.
This 221,000-square-foot transformation converted a dated DoubleTree into a luxury Hilton Curio Collection hotel perched on the slopes of Peak 9. Designed by OZ Architecture and delivered by Hyder Construction, the project included 204 upgraded guest rooms, a new spa deck, modern event spaces, and high-end amenities—all constructed under complex site constraints and extreme alpine conditions. With fragmented circulation, aging infrastructure, and limited access, the team developed custom logistics systems, real-time field solutions, and innovative sequencing tools to keep work moving safely and efficiently. Completed ahead of schedule and with zero lost-time incidents, Hotel Alpenrock now sets a new benchmark for high-altitude renovation in Colorado’s resort market.
