Chief Financial Officer

Brian Archibald

Brian leads Hyder’s accounting, finance, human resources, technology, and administration departments. Brian is responsible for ensuring the company’s strong financial foundation, optimizing the company’s administrative resources to best serve its people and customers, and providing accurate, reliable, and insightful information to our stakeholders, management team, and project teams.

Brian graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His long-term vision for the finance and administrative teams is to position Hyder for prolonged growth and to ensure an environment that continues to attract passionate talent to Hyder and the construction industry. He is a proven team leader with strong finance, analytical, and communication skills.

Brian started his career in public accounting working for PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in their St. Louis, Fayetteville, and Denver offices. During his 10 years at PwC, he served clients across various industries, with an emphasis on large public filers such as Tyson Foods and Vail Resorts. He spent 3 years with Renewable Energy Systems (RES), a global organization that develops, constructs, and manages industrial scale wind farms, solar farms, transmission lines, and battery storage. Prior to joining Hyder, Brian was the Corporate Controller for Evercommerce, a Denver based SAAS company listed on the Nasdaq.

“For any collective group, the success of that group relies upon the accountability of each member. This applies across so many facets of life – family, sports team, school projects, professional organizations, and commercial organizations. I pride myself on being a reliable team member who always delivers. Hyder prides itself on being accountable to our customers and the commitments we make, and that takes a collective effort from the whole organization being accountable for our individual commitments to our clients and each other.”

Life Outside Hyder

“My wife Julie and I both grew up in St. Louis. We started dating after college and got married in 2013, the same year we moved out to Colorado. She’s a Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedics. Like me, my wife loves getting outdoors and staying active. My wife and I both grew up in very active families, always on the go to games, practices, and extracurricular activities. She’ll never turn down a hike or a camping trip. We have two kids, Wesley and Cora, which is a whole new type of adventure every day. My favorite hobbies are golf, skiing, cycling, running, and hiking. I especially enjoy laps around the park with my wife and kids. Kids have the best imaginations and such pure excitement about so many things (firetrucks, planes, dogs, rocks, snacks, etc.).”
