Please join me in congratulating Rene on his 25th Anniversary at Hyder. Wow that’s a quarter of a century! I am sure when Doug hired Rene 25 years ago he didn’t imagine that he was hiring a future General Superintendent, and 23 years ago when Rene and I were working in the dirt together doing layout on a custom home I certainly didn’t know it either. Honestly I didn’t know what a General Superintendent was at the time and he probably didn’t either.
Rene has held every position in field operations that this company has from laborer, carpenter, foreman, assistant super, super, Sr. Super and of course now General Superintendent. His list of projects and accomplishments is too long to get into here but includes many of the most difficult and complex projects that Hyder has done. As I am sure most of you know, Rene puts his heart and soul into every project and has the back of every one of his coworkers and employees. When a difficult situation comes up Rene runs at it head on.
We will be celebrating Rene’s Anniversary at the Holiday Party next year and will present him with a special gift.
