February 2, 2012
Hyder Construction has broken ground on CenturyLink’s new Zuni Crew Building. This new 12,900 square foot building provides better administrative and warehouse space for CenturyLink employees to work, relax, and receive new assignments. The precast structure features new built-in workstations and furniture to optimize crew comfort and productivity, interior gypsum board partitions and custom finishes, and superior MEP systems.
The advanced mechanical system consists of custom air handling equipment, VAV air terminals and a digital distributed microprocessor-based Direct Digital Control System. The upgraded lighting system and controls exceed the new energy codes. Major site improvements include a soldier pier retaining wall to expand the current parking area, steel canopies for crew member vehicle parking, detention structures for storm water, and upgraded site lighting.
